Jazz Fest 2014 Live Instillation Marketing Campaign 

Jazz Fest 2014, I flew down from NYC to paint a mural and perform a live instillation at Hall-Barnett Gallery in New Orleans, LA. The objective was to raise awareness of of Hall-Barnett gallery and increase traffic and sales. The instillation project "The Balance," was about reminding ourselves of the real things in life that bring us joy. Without a balance between the material world and the natural world we can become empty. 

 

For the instillation, I made a 6 x 4 foot cardboard hand painted watermelon and held it above my head in the window of the gallery for 48 hours consuming only watermelon. The instillation attracted crowds of people and various reactions. The marketing campaign was a huge success with media coverage, sales and new clientele.
